Full-Time 3rd Edition - Juventus vs. Lazio

  (Source: CBSSports.com) Match Recap   Looking to bounce back from a recent dry skid in Serie A,  The Old  Lady  aimed to get back into the race for the title as they traveled to Rome for a matchup with the  Biancocelesti.   Lazio have proven to be a formidable opponent in Serie A, especially in recent years.  Both sides are battling to secure a spot within the top four, as Champions League hopes hang in the balance.  Although both Juventus and Lazio are trying to obtain a place in the top four, it would be remiss of us to say that they aren't in contention for the Scudetto as well.  Lazio, under the newly appointed and former Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri, have been off to a steady start to their 2021 league campaign.  Sarri has coached his team into 6th position in the standings, as they possess a solid attack featuring proven goal scorer, Ciro Immobile , and arguably the most complete midfield in Italy....

      (Source: Emilio Andreoli/Getty Images) International Break  With this week being the international break for all of the major soccer leagues across the globe, clubs have had some time to regroup ahead of their next matches.  Juventus is one of those many teams.  The international break is the period where players are called up to compete for their respective national teams, and club teams are put on halt.  This week's international break was for nations competing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.  This stretch could not have come at a better time for the Bianconero.  Juventus has been struggling mightily in their domestic league of Serie A, struggling week after week to get the results they so desperately need.  This break will allow the few players who weren't called up to rest, but more importantly for coach Massimiliano Allegri to square away some of the problems that have been plaguing his side. Full-Time 1st Edition - Juventus vs. Fiorentina

  (Source: CBSSports.com) Match Recap After giving Bianconeri fans two consecutive lackluster performances, Juventus looked to get back on track against Fiorentina this Saturday.  After a convincing 4-2 defeat of Zenit St. Petersburg at the midweek, many thought that things were looking up for Juve.  However, Juventus fans were greeted with a shockingly slow, spiritless first half.  Juventus in what seemed to be a must-win game, looked lifeless and mediocre.  The defense was fair, only surrendering six total shots.  The Old Lady also managed to keep in check their potential transfer target, Dusan Vlahovic, thanks to the efforts of center back Matthijs De Ligt.  Fiorentina made it clear from the jump that they planned to take the pressure to the Italian juggernauts.  Despite the early flurry of pressure, Juventus began to find there footing after the 10th minute and began to string together some nice sequences of play.  This was short lived ho...
